How To Be More Beautiful
I won't lie to you. I have looked dead at my own face in the mirror and thought, let's just say not so affirming thoughts. I have also looked at my reflection and thought: "my God you are stunning". I know that on the days that I think myself beautiful it has so little to do with my exterior. It has of course everything to do with what I am feeling inside. I believe the most delightful part about seeing that beauty is that it seems to catch us off guard. Yet what really happens is that we are aligned with spirit and we are good with ourself. It is in that moment when we radiate beautifully because it comes from inside.
So how can you be more beautiful? Here's what comes up for me:
Live Beautiful:
Surround yourself in beauty, a home that you love dearly. From the smallest thing to the most simple of things you buy for your home, make them mean something good.
Think Beautiful:
Decide to think beautiful thoughts about yourself, others around you and your life. Think a lot about how wonderful your life is and how much you have to appreciate and love. When thoughts come to you that are not aligned with beauty, click your heels and say "I am in a beautiful place, I am in a beautiful life, I am in a beautiful body.
Dress-Be Beautiful:
Being beautiful means taking very good care of yourself and adorning your body with clothes that express who you are inside. It means that the bracelet you are going to put on is one that has some kind of meaning or elicits beautiful feelings. When we look good we often times feel good.
Self-care Beautifully:
Do things that are kind for your self. Take the time to get a massage or pedicure. Take a warm bath with bubbles and scented oils. Do things each day that send that beautiful message to your brain that you matter.
Act Beautifully:
Treat others with beauty. Be beautiful to others. This will enhance your beauty where others will see just how magical you are. You may have been raised to think that you are the cat's meow but don't just take it for granted that you must be beautiful inside and in your actions.
It may seem very trite and simple to everyone yet these are some essential factors of beauty. It is not measured by how attractive you are to others physically but rather how attractive you are inside and the way that it comes forth. We all know people who are very good looking who suddenly don't look beautiful when they mistreat others. Beauty is a combination of what we think of ourselves, how we treat ourselves and others and the time we take to tend to this our temple.
