Cancer, Grilled Cheese and Soup

I will be damed because what I think is that grilled cheese has to be right and that soup goes well with it, especially if the soup is home made.  Not only did my assistant make me some homemade soup she made it from leftovers: leftover chicken, leftover spinach and left over  potatoes.  I was thrilledto announce   to her that the soup was impeccable although I'd had my doubts looking at it as the colors did not make for a pretty picture.

Now it is time to call the dog sitter and you may ask why I am calling when i don't have a dog?  well, i have a friend who has one who will be visiting me from Indiana.  Instead of having her bring her dog with her, I am allergic, I am paying to have him sat at a clinic.  I am more than happy to do this for her as she is one of many women in my life who has served and loved me for many many years.

I am of all things rewinding the movie and again feeling like Streep is my freaking idol.  She is the person in the movie who is the main character, Miranda Priesly.  She has an air of arrogance, the same as I have been wrongfully or rightfully accused of.  I especially love it when people who don't know me label the hell out of me.

There is no time like the present to get and give labels so here are some of mine:

A Seasoned Vs Old Person

Your Skirt Is Over Your Head

I am uncertain as to how many of my readers know what I mean about putting your skirt over your head.  All I know is that my sister once said it and I think I heard it in a movie once.  I do know that in the movie "Mermaids" Cher who played the mom had some great lines about being a woman and just having a good time with life.  In one of those what should be famous lines Cher's daughter played by Winnona Ryder says: "Don't you think yoiiu are too old for that dress?"to which Cher responds with: "Don't be silly Charlotte, a woman is never too old".  In another part there is a stunning young man waiting on their porch to welcome them to the country area where they moved and upon setting eyes on him Winnona Ryder who is Charlotte is mezmerized by him.  Cher suddenly turns around and says: "too bad your hell bent on becoming a nun".  To say that Cher truly pulls the dress over her head is really minimizing her role in this movie that I wo...
