4 Traits That Attract Men
It may be true that for some men looks are everything. It seems we have bought into the notion that a woman has to be a size 6, have blond hair and be sexy. Then there are the girls in the Prada ads that look as though they may be anorexic. They are so thin that some of us would like nothing more than to feed them, some looking more androgynous than the season before. In some parts of the world men are selected for women based on their riches, social status or both. Although we would like things to be different we still live in a world where women who are too assertive are labeled aggressive and women who are liberated must be lesbians. In the end there is a fine balance between being perceived as too bold and knowing how men often operate. What men like in a woman is not as limited as one may believe while at the same time more simple than what women think.
What are the 5 things men are looking for?:
1. An Empowered Goddess:
More than what women think men respect empowered women who at the same time are in touch with their goddess energy. Although there are exceptions few men want to be with a woman who is masculine in the same way that few women would like a feminine man. The empowered goddess is a woman who knows what she wants, is assertive, sets boundaries and can rock a dress. Many women have been shamed into losing their goddess feminine for many reasons yet it is the feminine energy that most men are attracted to. Men who are not afraid of their own feminine energy are even more likely to want a woman who is in touch with her femininity.
2. A Self-assured Woman:
Men are attracted to women who are self-assured and who know themselves. Insecurity tends to make men feel fearful and they view insecure women as needy and too much work. Simply put women who are confident make themselves even more attractive to men who are confident as well. A woman with low self-esteem can be physically beautiful but men will still run in the other direction when they sense that a woman is insecure and will ask him to compensate for her lack of knowing. There is of course a fine line between arrogance and self-love.
3. A Friend and Playmate:
Men love women who are willing to be a friend and hang with them, doing some of the things they like to do. An active man is attracted to a woman who is active and would be willing to get a little dirty and go camping. A man likes a woman who is willing to do some of the things their friends do with them and yet be allowed to have their friends and continue to play with them as well. Although not all women will play baseball with their guy she has to be willing to have some new adventures with him and be a loyal friend. After all men do feel as though they are giving up friends to be with one lady. Having an open mind and being flexible about doing things with the man you choose to be with adds up to a balanced relationship.
4. A Nurturer Not a Mom:
I know that there are many men who are looking for a mom and that is likely not the kind of man you want to attract. The truth is that men want to be nurtured, pampered, stroked and touched but the don't want to be told what to do by a woman who believes she has to do that. It is likely one of the things that men are most attracted to yet there seems to be a line between nurturing girlfriend and critical mother. Men love to walk with a woman who will hold their arm or their hand. It is those nurturing gestures that men love, even before they know it. Being a nurturers does not mean that you wait on a man hand and foot. It means that you express that which in some ways make you an empowered goddess, someone who is fearless about sharing your affection and compassion.
I cannot tell you how many women have shared that they struggle with their inner goddess and others who have been honest and admitted that somewhere along their life that part of them was stuffed down and shamed. I remember a woman who is a doctor who struggled with her feminine energy and felt she had to hold it at work. The fact that she felt she had to conceal that part of her saddened me but many women in the work place feel as she does. A woman who gives herself permission to be who she is has power and in the end that is what men of substance are attracted to.
