Are You A "Hopeless Romantic?"

Are you a hopeless romantic?  I am, for sure.  I don't mind admitting it either.  When I was married I always often wrote poems to my wife.  I have always been a fan of romantic boleros and I live for candles and a bubble bath.  One might say that I am the ideal husband and in truth there is something to be said about that, although these days I am happily single.  For me romance was not a difficult concept to understand.  I was raised in a romantic home with my grandparents whose love I could almost cut with a knife because it was so obvious and intense.  Romance is not something we can fake, at least not for very long.  Someone is either a hopeless romantic or they are not.  It is either natural or it is just not there.

People who are romantic have some truly identifying qualities about them.  A romantic person is a person who:

Loves with all their heart:
This may seem logical but not everyone loves with everything in them.  There is so little intensity where love is involved for too many people.  A romantic loves with every fiber of who they are.  You will be able to tell when you meet that kind of person and you get to know them.  Romantic people don't need to try to convey this message of intense love, others just know it and feel it.  They know how to express it.

Can express love in a way that gives us pause:
Romantic people know how to express love.  It comes natural to them.  They do this in a way that sends a clear message to others that they are in love.  For many people a romantic person will give them a suspicious thought but once that is over, the reality of romantic love will come.  If what someone says to you gives you pause and a feeling of  ah then he or she is truly a romantic.

Does things that are spontaneous and that show love any time of the day:
Some only celebrate their love on certain occasions, while romantics celebrate love all the time.  He or she is very in the moment and do and say things without censoring it or feeling as though it may not be the right moment.  A romantic is truly romantic all the time day or night.

Present themselves in a way that others find alluring:
I love to see a woman looking like a woman.  I love her in a dress and heels.  I am hopeless that way and I dress in ways that are romantic because that is what I want and that must be who I am.  If I want romance then I must look romantic and present myself in a way that is beautiful and expresses my fearless way of loving.  I look good for the person who I love and because I love myself.  A romantic looks impeccable most of the time.

Knows that value of a kiss and embrace:
Some people are very good at just having a physical encounter and they believe this to be romance.  Romance is much more about a kiss and a passionate embrace around the persons body you love the inside of.  A person who is romantic knows how to kiss and how to hug you like you've not ever been hugged before.

Communicates in ways that are open hearted:
When a romantic speaks it will melt your heart.  He or she knows how to communicate in ways that are deep and profound.  Romance is about communicating love and a good communicator of love is a romantic to the core.  The words we use have much to do with the love inside of us.  Words that express romance are easy to come forth when you are truly authentic.

I am not the expert at love but what I have learned in life is that one can romance one's way for good or for bad.  Many people can be superficially romantic in order to manipulate someone else.  A true romantic is a person who is naturally loving and becomes romantic when love facilitates it and only then.

A Seasoned Vs Old Person

Your Skirt Is Over Your Head

I am uncertain as to how many of my readers know what I mean about putting your skirt over your head.  All I know is that my sister once said it and I think I heard it in a movie once.  I do know that in the movie "Mermaids" Cher who played the mom had some great lines about being a woman and just having a good time with life.  In one of those what should be famous lines Cher's daughter played by Winnona Ryder says: "Don't you think yoiiu are too old for that dress?"to which Cher responds with: "Don't be silly Charlotte, a woman is never too old".  In another part there is a stunning young man waiting on their porch to welcome them to the country area where they moved and upon setting eyes on him Winnona Ryder who is Charlotte is mezmerized by him.  Cher suddenly turns around and says: "too bad your hell bent on becoming a nun".  To say that Cher truly pulls the dress over her head is really minimizing her role in this movie that I wo...

Visualize It, Manifest It.
