Love Letter

Today I was inspired by a piece of art that someone posted on FB of a man flying on top of a bird with an envelope in his hand called "Love Letter".  I could see my own body riding this bird and  clutching a letter in my hand.  I remember writing hundreds of love letters to others I love including every person I spent time with and my own children.  Today I think back and I cannot recall many love letters being written back to me yet for me every letter was worth the love I put into it and how it might make another person feel loved.  The other side of it is that I failed myself because I did not write a love letter to Elliott for Elliott.  I did not think as highly of myself and my feelings as I did othere people's feelings.  Not that it was anyones fault at all but that I did not think of it.  And so today I will share a love letter to Elliott:

Love For Elliott

Dear Elliott,
You deserve the love you give to everyone else so heal your heart before you attempt to heal another.
Your eyes see so many things some misinterpreted some hurtful and some painful
Yet what you see clearly is what will heal you in the end and what you don't will harm you.
I love you Elliott becasue you have dedicated your life to loving others with all your heart,
And your empty space can now be filled with all the love you gave away, needing to take some back,
I love you Elliott because the man that you are is a result of all the tears and laughter you saw,
And with all that said you are the one who loved first at times when there was no one there.
You can and are healed my little boy because nothing you did made you sick or become lonely,
Finding your heart now will not require that you look outside of yourself but rather within.
Elliott, listen to what I am about to tell you and don't be afraid because fear will kill you,
Sit in the knowing that loving yourself is not selfish but rather a way to save yourself more pain.
Don't stop writing those beautiful letters to others you love and who love you dearly,
For they are deserving of the love you feel deep inside your soulful heart and mind.
Keep writing those letters until you have expressed everything that you need to say without hesitation,
Call on those loving thoughts often and then keep some for yourself my little damaged boy,
And run faster than you have ever run before into the light of the univers and sky.
Ridaing una ave until you have delivered every letter to every person that you love,
For it is unsure as so how long you will be here to take pen to paper.
I love you Elliott because you are a beautiful spirit isspired by all the love songs of the world,

A Seasoned Vs Old Person

Your Skirt Is Over Your Head

I am uncertain as to how many of my readers know what I mean about putting your skirt over your head.  All I know is that my sister once said it and I think I heard it in a movie once.  I do know that in the movie "Mermaids" Cher who played the mom had some great lines about being a woman and just having a good time with life.  In one of those what should be famous lines Cher's daughter played by Winnona Ryder says: "Don't you think yoiiu are too old for that dress?"to which Cher responds with: "Don't be silly Charlotte, a woman is never too old".  In another part there is a stunning young man waiting on their porch to welcome them to the country area where they moved and upon setting eyes on him Winnona Ryder who is Charlotte is mezmerized by him.  Cher suddenly turns around and says: "too bad your hell bent on becoming a nun".  To say that Cher truly pulls the dress over her head is really minimizing her role in this movie that I wo...
