Five Ways to Reboot Your Self
I find that if I listen to my body, mind or spirit and do what it is asking for then it will reboot. Not only weill I feel bettter I will become more energetic and vibrant in every way. Sometimes that requires me to sleep for 12 hours and other times it requires me to do some form of exercise. Other times our intutiion is asking us to go outside.
Here are some ways you can reboot your body, mind and spirit:
1. Sleep and Solitude:
When you are aware that your body needs rest get some rest. You will become irritated easily when you are tired and for those of us who work for 10-12 hours a day this may be the only way you are going to be able to reboot and feel energetic. Sleep is important to the body and the solitude of sleeping relaxes your mind at the same time. When you reboot your body by sleeping make sure that you are in a place where you are alone and have uninterrupted time alone. Shut the world out and shut all those things out that might be an obstacle to your getting the rest you need. Sleep is a magical remedy for the body and the mind.
2. Exercise:
Do some form of exercise. Ride your bike, go to the health club and get on the treadmill or take a brisk walk. There is almost nothing better for us than exercise to retrieve our energy and become more energetic. It is a great way to reboot and it does not matter what type of exercise you do as long as you do somthing physical. Not only will your body reboot but so will your mind.
3. Go Out:
Get dressed and go out. Go out anywhere. To a park, to eat out or to a movie. Get out of the house and go anywhere where you will be around people. Sometimes that is all you need is to get out the door and do something that will clear your mind. Sometimes it is just a matter of taking your mind off of what is making you feel tired because it is not physical it is emotional wear. By getting out you reboot your mind and by doing something you like you will automatically feel better.
4. Meditation or Prayer or Gratitude:
Your heavy thoughts will be lightened by praying, meditating or listing your gratitudes. These three actions will take the weight off your heart and off of your head. Take time to be silent to do this. Only ten to twenty minutes of meditation will relax your mind and take a load off of it. Take several deep breaths before you start prayer, meditation or gratitude. Say what you feel you are grateful for and even list them in writing. Do this either in silence or with music that is melodic like the type used in meditation. Through one of these three activities you can reboot.
5. Write a Letter:
Sit down, take a few deep breaths and write a letter to your self about what you think you need right now and how you are feeling right now. Your letter can begin with: Right now I feel like I am sad and what I need is to feel loved. This kind of honesty will reboot your spiritual and emotional parts. Be completely honest and don't feel shamed but rather proud of yourself for writing down your feelings. Writing a letter to yourself or to someone you are struggling with will reboot you. Getting those feelings out that are on your shoulders will take the heaviness off your mind and spirit.
These are the five ways you can reboot and taking the time to reboot will make you feel refreshed and recharged. Everyone should take the time to reboot their system and each of us will function in a place of more joy if we take the time to reboot and refresh our body, mind and soul.
