Poems of Healing
You Don't See Me
I would get up in the morning,
I had one wish,
that you would see me.
I would go to bed at night,
Laying next to you,
hoping you would see me.
I locked the bathroom door,
I cried silenty inside,
Hoping you would hear me.
I asked for a bath,
afraid I would drown,
you could not be there for me.
I prayed for someone to love me,
I looked in every room,
I did not find you.
I healed myself,
Because I had to,
and you could never see me.
I thank god you left,
And never returned,
so that I could feel me.
